Kalvin Phillips has bigged up Tottenham and Manchester City’s stars, Harry Kane and Kevin de Bruyne, to GQ Magazine.
The Leeds United midfielder shared that Tottenham’s deadly-finisher is ‘ridiculous’ on the field of play, whilst he found Belgium’s precision-passer ‘unbelievable’ to play against.
Luckily for Phillips, he gets to share the same field and training pitch with Tottenham’s main man at England, but he has to endure, and later on enjoy, De Bruyne’s quality as an opposition player.
But in his first season with his boyhood club, Phillips spoke about those players that have impressed him.
“We played Man City at home against Kevin De Bruyne,” said Phillips. “He was unbelievable.
“Then there was Harry Kane, at their place. The way that he is – the way that he holds the ball up and can pick passes, the way he can score – is ridiculous.”

It could be argued that from De Bruyne and Kane that either one of the two are the best player in the Premier League.
Both have had outstanding campaigns, more so from the Englishman, who finished as the top goalscorer and assist-maker this season.
Therefore, it shouldn’t be a surprise that both have been nominated for the Player of the Season award in the Premier League.
De Bruyne’s Man City teammate, Ruben Dias, will have something to say about that, as will Manchester United’s creative engine room, Bruno Fernandes.
