Some Rangers fans on Twitter aren’t happy with the decision to sell Greg Docherty.

The Ibrox club confirmed this afternoon that they had sold the Scottish midfielder to Championship outfit Hull City.

Docherty, a lifelong Rangers fan, joined the Gers in January of 2018.

Despite some early promise, the 23-year-old, who was loaned out last season, only managed 11 Premiership in two-and-a-half years in Glasgow.

The midfielder scored 10 goals on loan last season, despite originally joining Rangers as a more defensive type of player.

And some fans of the Scottish giants aren’t very happy with the decision to sell him permanently, arguing he deserved more chances.

Here’s how they responded to the announcement on Rangers’ official Twitter account:

The good news here is that Ross Wilson, the man responsible for Rangers’ transfer business, is almost certainly going to sign a midfielder.

Ross McCrorie also left Ibrox a little earlier this week and with him being capable of playing in the middle of the park, it does indicate that Wilson will be ushering another body into Steven Gerrard’s squad in the very near future.

The bad news is that Docherty, as mentioned, is a diehard Rangers boy and he will know better than other players just how important it is to stop Celtic from winning 10 Premiership titles in a row come May.
