Ally McCoist has been critical of Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte after his outburst in the aftermath of his side’s 3-3 draw against Southampton.
The £288,000-a-week man lost his cool at his players and the ownership, pinpointing that their collective failures are seeped into the club’s habitual underperformance. Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher called the former Chelsea manager due to his explosive outburst.
Now, Ally McCoist has done the same about Antonio Conte, as he feels the outburst was unjustified from him after Tottenham drew against Southampton.
Ally McCoist on Antonio Conte outburst after Tottenham vs Southampton
There has been a split of opinion when it comes to fans and pundits’ thoughts on the rant. Some strongly believe that Conte was right in exposing the club’s failings while others seem to think that he is not taking enough accountability.
It seems like Ally McCoist just thinks that Antonio Conte went overboard, despite being justifiably annoyed in his outburst after Tottenham threw away a two-goal lead against Southampton.

“This one [outburst] was bordering on ridiculous. You can’t do it. And I know a lot of the Tottenham supporters are saying, ‘a lot of the things he’s saying is quite right’ and I get that”, he said on talkSPORT.
“But that’s in-house, that stuff. That kind of stuff that he’s coming out with has to be in-house. You’d lose a whole lot of respect for him if he hasn’t said it to his players or Daniel Levy before he’s had the outburst because that’s what he should be doing. You’d have more respect for him if he’s told them before it. So, it’s clear to see the writing’s on the wall.”
“If there was ever a case of, ‘I’m a manager, get me out of here!’, that was it.”
Ally McCoist may have an unpopular opinion on the Antonio Conte outburst as several Tottenham fans backed him after he blasted the players and the ownership after the Southampton result.
