Leeds United should try to sign Rickie Lambert from Cardiff City in the summer transfer window.
Much was expected of Rickie Lambert when he joined Cardiff City from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2016.
The former Liverpool striker arrived at the Cardiff City Stadium with a good reputation, but the 35-year-old has proved to be a disappointment.
The Englishman was able to make only 13 starts in the Championship last season, scoring four goals in the process.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has been quoted as saying by BBC Sport that Lambert is not going to get much playing time next season due to the presence of Kenneth Zohore and Danny Ward.
It seems that Lambert is not wanted at Cardiff, and Leeds United should take advantage of this situation and snap up the former Liverpool striker.
Given that the 35-year-old is not going to be a key player for the Bluebirds next season and that he has just one year left on his current contract, the Welsh outfit could be persuaded to sell him this summer.
Chris Wood will remain Leeds’s first-choice striker next season, but the Elland Road outfit need an experienced and reliable back-up.
Marcus Antonsson’s debut season at the Whites was a disappointment, and it would not be wise to rely on 26-year-old striker for the 2017-18 campaign.
True, Lambert has struggled with form and fitness issues for a while, but he would not be expensive in terms of transfer fee and his wage demands could be reasonable.
The experience of the former Southampton star would be invaluable for Leeds, who would be making a smart signing if they recruit the Englishman this summer.
