Tim Sherwood has told Premier League Productions that he is ‘not convinced’ with Tottenham from a defensive standpoint.
There was one man who was at the front of his mind and that’s Tottenham defender, Davinson Sanchez.
The 24-year-old started Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle where questions were once again asked about his performance and decision-making from the back.
Sherwood stated that Sanchez makes ‘rick after rick’ every game as he seemingly has had enough of his defensive issues.
“Defensively, I am not convinced about them,” said Sherwood. “I would let, if I am the (opposition manager), I would let them come out on Sanchez’s side.
“Set the trap and we go and get the ball off him. He makes rick after rick every time he plays.”

Every Tottenham player donning the colours at the back is seemingly making numerous errors.
Sanchez made mistakes as his side crashed out of the FA Cup against Everton, he then fell flat on his face against Manchester City when failing to deal with a ball over the top from Ederson and he gave away a penalty in the North London derby recently.
It’s been nearly five years since Spurs forked out big money for Sanchez’s services and, in truth, he hasn’t delivered.
