Richarlison has predicted on Everton’s official website that Bernard will have a big impact at Goodison Park.

The Brazilian duo both moved to Everton this summer, but it is Richarlison who has made the bigger impact so far.

Richarlison has already scored three goals for the Toffees, and earned a call-up to the Brazil national team.

The youngster looks to have been a brilliant addition to Marco Silva’s squad, with their attack looking far more threatening with him involved.

And Richarlison insists that Bernard can be similarly as dangerous, when he finds his feet.

“Bernard is an agile player. He is really fast and scores a lot of goals,” Richarlison said.

“With his speed, he gets behind players and is a danger in the box. His ability pushes opponents back and causes them problems.

“He is highly thought of in Brazil. He is known as Joyful Legs, so he is the type of player who will bring joy to the Everton fans.

“He will be popular here and, hopefully, have a great season and be a big influence on Everton.”

Bernard came off the bench to impress during Everton’s last match against West Ham United.

Everton lost the fixture, but the diminutive midfielder still caught the eye with his showing.

Bernard could now be in line to feature for Silva’s side in their next match against Arsenal, when Richarlison will also come back into the starting line-up.
