Richarlison has told his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Emerson Royal on his Instagram story to ‘get well soon, brother’ after he picked up an injury.

The Tottenham wing-back will require surgery on his right knee after picking up the injury whilst on international duty with Brazil, as reported by BBC Sport.

Emerson Royal’s form since the turn of the year has improved, especially following Pedro Porro’s arrival, who was slammed by Liverpool’s Andy Robertson last night.

It now means that Tottenham’s January capture from Sporting Lisbon will become even more important after the international break because Spurs have three teams hunting them down for Champions League football.

Newcastle United, Liverpool and Brighton all have games in hand on the north London club, who also sacked Antonio Conte on Sunday evening.

Nonetheless, when the bad news about Emerson Royal broke, Richarlison issued the following response on his IG story: “Get well soon, brother.”

TOTTENHAM’S ISSUES AT WING-BACK

Daniel Levy has tasked Cristian Stellini to take the reigns until the end of the season, but he will already have some big issues to deal with and that’s who will play at wing-back?

Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon have already been ruled out, whilst Ivan Perisic seemed to pull up for Croatia on Tuesday night with a worrying injury.

Then there is Ben Davies, who suffered his own injury blow against Southampton, which leaves Pedro Porro as the last wing-back standing.
