Everton summer signing Richarlison could have a chance to prove many observers wrong, and become a bargain buy for the Toffees.

When Everton paid £40 million for Richarlison eye brows were raised (Telegraph), and the deal was criticised.

A large volume of football fans claimed that Everton had overpaid for Richarlison, who had an inconsistent first season in the Premier League.

But Richarlison’s opening few weeks at Everton have proven his quality.

The 21-year-old has hit three goals in his first three league appearances for the Toffees, and his strong form has earned him a call up to the Brazil national team.

Richarlison’s value looks set to grow rather than dip, if he continues to perform at his current level.

The attacker is set to become one of the most dangerous forwards in England, and at the age of 21, his form is sure to be attracting admiring glances.

And Marcel Brands must be feeling delighted with Richarlison’s form, as he could turn out to be a bargain, against all the odds.
