Richards Keys told beIN SPORTS 11 (01/11/20 at 9:20 pm) that he was ‘disappointed’ in Tottenham striker Harry Kane for how he went down to win his penalty last night.
Spurs were awarded a spot-kick in the first half when the referee judged that Adam Lallana fouled Kane just inside the area – Keys was critical of the incident and shared how footballers in today’s game are more like ‘actors’.
Jose Mourinho’s side ended up securing all three points against Brighton, with a number of controversial decisions being made during the game, including a penalty appeal going against the away side and Tariq Lamptey’s equalising goal standing despite a foul in the build-up
But during the game, ex-Sky Sports presenter Keys felt that Kane was going down easily on ‘two or three’ occasions.
“He did that two or three times today Kane,” said Keys. “I am disappointed.
“Alright, he has won a penalty and Mourinho will be pleased that he has. It’s creeping back in again. Players are more actors these days than they are footballers.
“It’s one that we shouldn’t have had because Lallana knows he has been fouled.”

In truth, on-field referee Graham Scott produced a shocking performance and he will be glad that Gareth Bale came off the bench to secure all three points for the home side to prevent further drama after the match.
Whilst Brighton will feel they should have had a penalty of their own in the first half, Lamptey’s goal shouldn’t have stood because it was a foul on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the lead up to the goal.
On Thursday, Mourinho wasn’t too pleased with how his players performed and he made his feeling clear towards them all – but the players who are his regulars, they produced the goods yesterday and pushed the team into second place in the Premier League table.
