Robert Green joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
Richard Naylor suggested on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, September 23, 2016) that Robert Green is an asset to Leeds United.
Green joined Leeds in the summer transfer window on a free after leaving Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The 36-year-old goalkeeper is a hugely experienced footballer, and has played for Norwich City, West Ham United and QPR.
The Englishman has established himself in the Leeds first team and has featured in eight Championship matches for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this season.
Former Leeds player Naylor, who is 39 years of age, has suggested that Green is an asset to the club, and that having him in the team is good for the defenders.
“Having someone who has obviously had as many games as Rob Green has must be a great asset to have,” said Naylor on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, September 23, 2016) while discussing the importance of experience in defence.
Leeds are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 10 points from eight matches.
Garry Monk’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the league.
The West Yorkshire will head into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road in the third round of the EFL Cup.
