Sunderland boss David Moyes is coming under increasing pressure at the Stadium of Light.

Richard Keys has written on his own personal blog that he believes David Moyes will leave Sunderland.

Moyes has recently suggested that he will still be in charge at the Stadium of Light next term.

However, Moyes is rapidly losing fan support on Wearside, after what has been a disastrous campaign.

And Keys has suggested that Sunderland should look at replacing Moyes with Nigel Pearson next season.

Derby County manager Nigel Pearson

“I’m sorry David Moyes had such a miserable season,” Keys wrote. “Of course he has to take responsibility for what happened, but it’s been in the making for five seasons now. I know what he’s said about being on a 4-year contract, but I don’t think he’ll stay.

“Perhaps there’s a job there for Nigel Pearson.”

Pearson has a great amount of experience at managing in the Championship, and is widely credited for the job he did at Leicester City.

Pearson guided Leicester out of the Championship and laid the foundations for Claudio Ranieri to build upon at the King Power Stadium.

Pearson’s latest managerial job did not go according to plan, though.

The 53-year-old was only in charge at Derby County for a matter of months, before being sacked.
