Richard Keys has written on his website that Arsenal should have appointed Carlo Ancelotti as their manager and has suggested Massimiliano Allegri as a possible replacement for Mikel Arteta.
The former Sky Sports presenter believes that Arsenal made a mistake when they went for Arteta instead of Ancelotti, who is now in charge of Everton.
Keys, formerly of Sky Sports and now at beIN SPORTS, has suggested Allegri as a possible replacement for the Spaniard.
Arsenal lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby at the weekend and are now as low as 15th in the Premier League table with 13 points from 11 matches.
Keys wrote on his website: “Go back through these blogs. I said when Arsenal appointed him that they’d made the wrong choice. Carlo Ancelotti was the man. He IS a genuine ‘super coach’. He almost invented the title.
“Ancelotti is a big club manager and he was perfect. He was also available. But oh no – clever people at Arsenal hatched their clever plan and went for the novice.”
The well-known presenter added: “Make no mistake. Arsenal have got trouble. Just a thought – Max Allegri?”

Massimiliano Allegri for Mikel Arteta at Arsenal?
Arsenal cannot keep getting rid of managers and hiring new ones, as that will not make the club or the team stable.
True, Arteta is struggling to get results at the moment, but the Spaniard led the Gunners to FA Cup success last season and has guided them to the knockout rounds of the Europa League already this campaign.
Allegri is one of the best managers in the world who is without a club at the moment and told The Times last week that he “would like to experience the Premier League”.
The Italian tactician has won Serie A titles with Juventus and AC Milan, but for now, Arsenal should persevere with Arteta and allow him time to solve the current problems.
