Richard Keys has criticised Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on his website for his performances this season.

The beIN SPORT presenter has said that Liverpool forward Salah has struggled since failing to win the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.

The former Sky Sports presenter made the comments following Liverpool’s defeat to Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League.

Salah started the match, but the Egyptian star struggled to make a huge impact and was substituted.

BeIN SPORT presenter Keys believes that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could drop Salah for the Reds’ next Premier League match.

Liverpool will take on Rangers away from home at Ibrox in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening before locking horns with defending champions Manchester City at Anfield in the league next weekend.

Richard Keys on Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah

Keys wrote: “Arsenal deserved their win. They were clearly the better side. But what on earth has happened to Liverpool?

“It’s deeper than a sulking Salah being way off the mark. He couldn’t kick a steady arse right now. Why? I could understand a slow start if he’d got better. But he hasn’t.

“And we haven’t seen anything from him since the African Cup of Nations. Nothing. Klopp took him off Sunday – I wonder if he’ll consider not starting him in the next league game?”

Struggling

In our view, Mohamed Salah is really struggling for Liverpool at the moment.

The Egyptian is not scoring goals and is also struggling to get past opposition players.

The 30-year-old has scored two goals and provided three assists in eight Premier League games for Liverpool so far this season.

In three UEFA Champions League appearances for the Reds so far tis campaign, Salah has scored two goals.
