Newcastle United have been linked with a £350 million takeover.

The Sun report Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is close to selling the club to Dubai based billionaire Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan.

The Telegraph state that Newcastle have declined to comment on the reports.

Pundit Richard Keys has suggested he is unconvinced the deal will go through. He is worried it could be designed to flush out other bidders.

Newcastle fans are desperately hoping the reports will be correct.

However, Ashley has been linked with selling up for over a decade, and there have been times where it previously appeared very close.

A deal would be a gamechanger for Newcastle, and potentially the rest of the Premier League if it were to go through, and spark one of England’s best supporting clubs back into life.
