Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has taken to social networking site Twitter to give an update on Rangers managerial target Pedro Caixinha.

According to a recent report on BBC Sport, Al-Gharafa has given Caixinha permission to move to Rangers.

Former Sky Sports presenter Keys has stated on Twitter that the Portuguese coach will leave Qatar on Saturday afternoon.

Keys has also claimed that Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers have agreed to pay Al-Gharafa a compensation fee of €400,000 (just over £350,000) in order to secure the services of Caixinha.

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 46 points from 27 matches.

The Gers have been looking for a permanent manager since last month when Mark Warburton parted company.

The Glasgow giants will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic will head into the match as favourites, but Rangers could earn a draw and perhaps even register a narrow victory.
