West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has been backed with great funds so far this summer.

The London Stadium is seen ahead of the English Premier League football match between West Ham United and Swansea City at The London Stadium, in east London on April 8, 2017.

Richard Keys has written on his own personal blog that he thinks West Ham United could struggle this season.

West Ham have spent heavily over the summer, bringing in a host of new players.

They also have a former Premier League winning manager at the helm, in the form of Manuel Pellegrini.

But Keys is not entirely convinced about West Ham’s chances of success this season.

He said: “West Ham are a puzzle. I mentioned in my last blog that it could be a long season and despite the spending West Ham might have another struggle on their hands.”

Keys has previously frustrated West Ham fans, as he was a huge advocate of their former boss Sam Allardyce.

West Ham supporters appear largely optimistic about their side’s chances going into the campaign.

The Hammers have had a more productive transfer window than most their Premier League rivals, with the likes of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko among the players to join.

West Ham begin their Premier League campaign at the weekend weekend, with a match against Liverpool.
