Mauricio Pochettino regularly puts his Tottenham Hotspur squads through double training sessions.

Richard Keys has written on his own personal blog that Tottenham Hotspur were absolutely brilliant in their most recent match against Manchester City.
Spurs beat City 2-0, and Keys felt that Pep Guardiola’s side could have no complaints about the defeat.
However, Keys has warned that Mauricio Pochettino’s demanding training schedule – which has helped make Spurs one of the fittest teams in the Premier League – could be criticised, if Tottenham’s form does drop off.

“The air of invincibility around Pep Guardiola and his City team was blown away by Tottenham’s tornado,” Keys said. “What a game. I enjoyed it more than anything else I’ve seen this season.
“Spurs were terrific and had Eric Lamela scored with that penalty 3-0 wouldn’t have flattered them.
“Double training sessions you see – that’s the way forward! Wait until they lose one though – then double training sessions will be to blame again!”
Pochettino regularly puts his players through double sessions during the week, and the Argentine boss is renowned for his demanding attitude.

However, when Spurs’ form fell away towards the back end of last campaign there were some fears that fatigue had hit them.
Tottenham challenged Leicester City for the title last term, but their form dropped off in their final few matches with the side looking tired.
Pochettino’s men seem to have shaken off that disappointment already – and are still unbeaten in the Premier League this term – but the hope will be that they can maintain their current level for the whole season this time around.
