Could Watford get relegated to the Championship?
Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has suggested on his website that Watford will get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Watford are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 18 points from 14 matches.
The Hornets are just three points behind Manchester United and as many as seven above the relegation zone.
Former Sky Sports presenter Keys, though, believes that Walter Mazzarri’s side will do back down to the Championship.
“Keep your eyes on Watford,” Keys wrote on his website. “I’m not convinced they can sustain their early season good fortune. There’s always one team that drops like a stone. They’re my pick this season.”
Watford are doing quite well at the moment, and are above Southampton, Crystal Palace and West Ham United among other clubs.
Mazzarri, who worked wonders at Napoli, is a very good manager, and the Italian tactician seems to have adapted to the Premier League already.
True, Watford cannot be complacent, but the Hornets do have a squad that is good enough to finish above the relegation zone.
Watford will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Everton at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.
The Hornets will head into the match on the back of a 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns in the league.
