Should Tottenham fans be worried?

Pundit Richard Keys has warned Tottenham Hotspur that there is a tough summer ahead.

He said: “I’m hearing that Spurs have crashed through the billion pound barrier whilst building the new arena.
“If that’s correct – the selling will start as early as this summer. What happens after that will be fascinating. Pochettino certainly won’t stick around to be part of it.”
This is not the first time Keys has predicted negatives outcomes for Tottenham; last year he wrote off their title challenge before a ball was kicked.
To be fair on this one he was dead right, with Spurs finishing third behind record setting Manchester City.
Fans will hope he is misinformed and incorrect about his latest prediction, although to some extent he is backed up by media reports.
You could argue that the selling even began last summer with Kyle Walker sold for £50 million, and Toby Alderweireld is now set to follow, the Evening Standard report.

This one has been coming though, and Mauricio Pochettino has been preparing for it by leaving him out of his first choice side in recent months.
If a key asset like Christian Eriksen or Harry Kane or Dele Alli is suddenly sold out of the blue then that could make Pochettino angry, but there’s no suggestion that will happen.
If that is what Keys expects, instead of just Alderweireld, then he could soon be proved incorrect.
