Has Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to West Ham United seen their hopes of catching Chelsea dashed?
Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur have lost the chance to win the Premier League title this season.
Tottenham failed to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea on Friday evening, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to London rivals West Ham United away from home at the London Stadium.
Chelsea can extend their current lead at the top of the table to seven points on Monday evening when they take on relegation candidates Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge.
Well-known sports presenter Keys believes that Chelsea will win the Premier League title this season.
The former Sky Sports presenter has also predicted problems for Tottenham at the Wembley Stadium in London next season.
It now looks very likely that Chelsea will win the Premier League title, as it is hard to see Antonio Conte’s side slip up now.
However, Tottenham fans should be pleased with the way the team have progressed and performed this season.
Finishing second and qualifying for the Champions League should be deemed as a very successful season for Spurs.
