Richard Keys has said that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will not bring back Harry Redknapp.

The beIN SPORT presenter has written on his website that Levy is not “daft” enough to hire Redknapp as the Tottenham boss on a short-term contract.

Tottenham have sacked interim manager Cristian Stellini and have replaced him with Ryan Mason for the rest of the season.

Stellini was the number two to Antonio Conte and was promoted to Acting Head Coach until the end of the campaign when the latter parted ways with Spurs.

Former Tottenham manager Redknapp has publicly said on talkSPORT that he would be willing to take charge of the North London club if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted him back.

The Englishman, though, does not think that Levy will want him back at Tottenham.

Redknapp last managed a club back in 2017 when he was in charge of Birmingham City.

The former West Ham United boss was the Tottenham manager from 2008 until 2012.

Richard Keys says no Tottenham Hotspur return for Harry Redknapp

Keys wrote: “One or two ‘experts’ were screaming at him again this past weekend – demanding that he appoints a new manager ‘now’. Why? Why would he do that if the one he really wants is currently employed – De Zerbi for instance? Or Frank? No – it’s better to wait.

“And please – don’t anybody think that ‘Arry is the short term answer. Having had his fingers burnt once by that wheeler and dealer (I’m being nice – other descriptions were available) there is no way in the world that Levy would be daft enough to volunteer for ‘Arry’s circus again.”

HITC Verdict: No chance of Redknapp return to Spurs

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is never going to bring back Harry Redknapp and was never going to.

Now that Ryan Mason will be in charge of the Tottenham first team for the rest of the season, there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that Levy will give a call to Redknapp.

After all, the Tottenham chairman surely cannot have four different people in charge of the team in one single season.
