Sunderland have replaced David Moyes with Sam Allardyce.
Richard Keys has suggested that David Moyes is the perfect replacement for Sam Allardyce at Sunderland.
The Black Cats’ plans for the upcoming campaign campaign have been thrown into turmoil, following Allardyce’s decision to move to England.
Sunderland had been planning to move forward under the 61-year-old’s leadership, and they were not expecting England to move for Allardyce following the departure of Roy Hodgson.
However, Sunderland’s move for Moyes has generally gone down well – and Keys seems to think that it will work out.
Moyes has struggled in his last two jobs at Manchester United and Real Sociedad, but he has a good reputation for the work which he did with Everton.
Moyes consistently had Everton competing for European places, despite having a relatively small budget at Goodison Park.
Moyes has already stated that he wants to guide Sunderland up the Premier League table, and away from the relegation battles that they have been stuck in for too long.
Moyes has plenty of work to do at Sunderland before the campaign starts in three weeks’ time, as the Wearsiders are yet to make a signing this summer.
