Pundit had tipped Harry Kane to leave Tottenham for Manchester United.
England striker Harry Kane emphatically answered questions over his future this week as he signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs announced the news on their official website, to plenty of celebration from supporters.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
The news came after a fortnight of speculation in the media over whether or not Spurs would have difficulty in tying Golden Boot winner Kane to an extension.
One figure who prominently questioned this was former SkySports presented Richard Keys, who tipped Kane to complete a move to Manchester United.

He had written on his personal blog: “What United want they generally get. Unless Spurs come up with a proper deal – my view is Kane will soon be at Old Trafford. And I mean ‘soon’.”
When the contract extension was announced, Spurs fans were quick to remind Keys he got his prediction wrong.
Keys reacted to the comments coming his way, and moved to distance himself from his United claims.
Responding on his Twitter feed, Keys insists his comments were taken out of context.
He said: “Read the piece again. With good info I said they’d have to pay him what he wanted. They have.”
Tottenham’s Harry Kane celebrates scoring their third goal
Kane’s injury hit season has been a slow burner, but he has an impressive five goals in eight games in the Premier League so far.
Whether he goes on to win the Golden Boot again this season is immaterial, Spurs fans will simply be glad he will continue scoring goals for them, and looks set to do so for years to come.
