Richard Keys says that West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic needs time.
Richard Keys has claimed on his blog that he cannot quite believe that West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic is among the favourites to be the first Premier League manager sacked.
The Hammers endured a disappointing start to the new season on Sunday after losing 4-0 at Manchester United.
West Ham have had an excellent summer on the transfer front, bringing in the likes of Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez, but that defeat has dampened the enthusiasm somewhat.

The Irons finished 11th in the Premier League last season, failing to scale the heights of the previous campaign, and Bilic is under pressure to deliver a much-improved showing this time around – especially with the business he has done.
Nevertheless, the former Besiktas coach is second favourite with a lot of bookmakers to be the first top-flight manager to leave their post, and Keys claims on his website that he’s “astounded” by it.
“I was disappointed in the Hammers. I said in my last blog that I liked their summer transfer business and I still do – so give Bilic a bit of time eh before we jump all over him?
“That he’s favourite, with Conte, to get the sack first astounds me.”
The East Londoners have another tricky away game next as Bilic’s side visit Southampton, who drew 0-0 at home to Swansea City in their opener at the weekend.
