Wayne Rooney is in excellent form for Everton so far this season.

Richard Keys has told backed Wayne Rooney’s decision to retire from England, telling him to focus on his Everton career.
The 31-year-old, his country’s all-time record goalscorer, hasn’t featured in any of England’s last five matches and announced his retirement from the international fold today.
But the legendary striker looks to be born again since re-joining Everton from Manchester United and has two Premier League goals in as many games for the Toffees.

He could’ve potentially be given a reprieve at international level by Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate, but beIN Sports pundit Keys wants the ex-Red Devils ace to focus solely on Ronald Koeman’s side in favour of his national team.

Everton fans will surely agree with Keys.
Rooney is doing the business for his boyhood club and, given he is the only player to score for them in the Premier League, Koeman doesn’t need his go-to-guy at the moment having any distractions whatsoever.
The Merseysiders have had a decent start to the season, beating Stoke and drawing with Manchester City, but they have another very tricky away trip on the horizon as Koeman’s boys visit Chelsea on Sunday.
