Football pundit Richard Keys has warned Tottenham Hotspur that he expects Harry Kane to sign with Manchester United ‘soon’ if they do not offer him an improved deal.
Keys was writing in his personal blog after Spurs’ Champions League exit, despite Kane’s comments earlier in the week saying he was willing to commit his future to the club.
Keys blames chairman’s Daniel Levy’s rigid wage structure, refusing to pay salaries over £100,000 per week.
The former SkySports presenter also expressed concern over head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s future at the club.
He said: “Manchester United are aware and want Kane. We’ve all read those stories – and what United want they generally get. Unless Spurs come up with a proper deal – my view is Kane will soon be at Old Trafford. And I mean ‘soon’.
“If that happened I don’t think it would be too long before Pochettino baled out.”

Tottenham will be confident despite this, that they can hang onto Harry Kane after his recent comments, especially with his contract running at present until 2019.
After coming through the club’s academy, he is unlikely to be the type of player who pushes for a move, and with the club competitive at the top of the table, and the face he is clear first choice, there is little need to.
United’s interest is understandable, but the point Keys raises about whether Pochettino could follow, is surely enough to scare Levy into breaking Tottenham’s wage structure.
