Derby County beat Leeds United at Elland Road to book their place in the play-off final with Aston Villa.

Derby County defender Richard Keogh has admitted that Leeds United and Aston Villa are ‘great’ teams as the Rams booked their place in the play-off final.
Frank Lampard’s side went into the Championship encounter at Elland Road two-goals down on aggregate after the opening stages of the second leg encounter, but his team scored four goals on the night to book their place at Wembley.
It was a stunning, highly-charged and dramatic game of football which saw Derby shock many and book their place for a Wembley final against Aston Villa later on this month.
Speaking to Sky Sports Football (15/05/2019) straight after the match, Keogh shared his thoughts on Leeds and his up and coming opponents.
“We have one more game at Wembley against a great team in Villa,” Keogh told Sky Sports Football. “What a run they have been on as well. They’re going to be a great team.
“But listen credit to Leeds. Credit to Leeds, they are a great team and have proven to be a great team. But anything can happen in football and we earned it.”

Championship football produced its best drama on Wednesday night and it won’t be a surprise if that continues into the play-off final at Wembley.
Last season, Derby, who had then-manager Gary Rowett in charge, were beaten in the play-off semi-final by Fulham – they have gone one better this time around.
Aston Villa, who they will meet in the final, were beaten in the final by the same team as they will now be looking to put an end to their heartache of last season.
