Warburton has left his role at Ibrox and the Rangers legend is not displeased.
Former Rangers captain Richard Gough has been commenting on the current turmoil at the club to the Glasgow Evening Times.
Rangers parted ways with manager Mark Warburton, assistant David Weir and head of recruitment Frank McParland yesterday. However, there was immediate confusion regarding whether the trio walked or had been pushed at Ibrox.
But one former Rangers legend who is not impressed with Warburton’s behaviour is Richard Gough. The Scottish legend spent ten years at Ibrox and is a legend at the club.

Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times he made it clear that he was pleased to see Warburton go, who he feels was trying to force a move to the English Championship:
“Reading between the lines he was looking for a job in the English championship. We do not want anyone at our football club who does not want to be there.
“I am sure Dave King will come out with a statement pretty soon for all our supporters.
“Rangers Football Club is bigger than any one person. We will appoint a manager quickly and I’m sure we will all give him and our team all our support as usual.”
Rangers manager Mark Warburton
The now former Rangers boss had been linked with the Nottingham Forest job recently and his time at Ibrox had seemingly been coming to an end after some poor performances on the pitch, and difficulties off of it.
Rangers is still a massive club with plenty of draw and the hope will be a big manager can be convinced to take the reins from Warburton.
Gough will hope it is somebody more committed then he perceived Warburton to be.
