Adam Forshaw joined Leeds United in the January transfer window.
The former Leeds striker made the comments about Forshaw following the Whites’ 2-2 draw with Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Cresswell was impressed with the performance of the 26-year-old midfielder, who joined Leeds from Championship rivals Middlesbrough in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4.5 million.
“I think he is instrumental, and I think he has been a great signing,” Cresswell told BBC Radio Leeds about Forshaw.
“He really, really keeps the ball, he motivates people, he gets stuck in, and I think he will be a very good player for Leeds United moving forward.”
Good signing
Forshaw has been a very good player for Leeds since his move from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.
Whenever the midfielder has played, he has done well and has produced a solid display.
It is never easy for any player to settle into a new team midway through the season, but Forshaw has been able to do just that.
For Leeds to be successful next season, head coach Paul Heckingbottom needs to make Forshaw a key player in his midfield and deploy him regularly.
