Whether or not Giannis Antetokounmpo will be traded before this season’s deadline is still up in the air.

The Greek superstar and his agent are said to be in talks with the Milwaukee Bucks about his future, with an answer expected over the next few weeks.

Even so, reports suggest the Bucks have told other teams they’re not looking to move their two-time MVP.

Still, trade rumours around Giannis aren’t going away, with several teams reportedly showing interest in the Greek star.

If Milwaukee decides to move on from Antetokounmpo, they’re expected to set a high price. The Bucks would likely be after a star-level player as well as at least four first-round picks.

One name that has surfaced is Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson, who represents the kind of young talent and high character the Bucks might be seeking. Paul said: “If I’m the Bucks, I’m looking at young player, high character, high talent, high IQ.

Atlanta Hawks considering making Jalen Johnson untouchable in trade talks

Johnson has been showing signs of becoming a superstar for the Hawks this season. The 23-year-old has been so impressive that Atlanta may decide he’s off-limits, even in discussions for Giannis.

This season, Johnson is putting up 23.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 53.4 percent from the floor and an impressive 40.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Among his standout performances was a game against the Denver Nuggets where he recorded a first-half triple-double, finishing with 21 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists.

He also put together an incredible all-around stat line against Utah, racking up 31 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists and seven steals.

Given how well Johnson is playing this year, the Hawks might find it easier to part with Trae Young or Zaccharie Risacher rather than include him in any trade talks involving Giannis.
