Bournemouth’s offer was truly too good to turn down, but if Liverpool really believed in the former Chelsea forward, they would have tried to keep him.
Knowing they have Brewster, backed up by Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel, made the decision even easier.
But as a follow up, Liverpool need Brewster to make good on his potential.
Last night was a very positive sign.
He grabbed the limelight in a way Solanke was never able to do in his pre-season appearances.
Brewster could be worth a lot more than £19 million already.
