Liverpool lost the Community Shield for the second year in a row as they were beaten by Arsenal on Saturday evening.
The Reds drew 1-1 with Manchester City in last year’s Community Shield before losing 5-4 on penalties – and the same thing happened this year.
Takumi Minamino levelled for Liverpool after an opener from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Reds lost on penalties again.
There was just the one miss, as Rhian Brewster stepped up and hammered his spot kick off the cross bar.
Minamino and Curtis Jones scored to keep Liverpool in it, but Aubameyang fired home the winning penalty to give Arsenal another Wembley win; their third under Mikel Arteta.
It was a gutting moment for Brewster, who was on a high having scored twice in a pre-season friendly against Red Bull Salzburg just days earlier.

The 20-year-old is looking for first-team chances at Anfield having starred on loan at Swansea City, and his penalty miss will have felt like a setback.
Brewster took to Twitter to send an emotional message, admitting that he was ‘gutted’ but will learn from his pain, and is ‘trusting the process’.
