One Roma hero is hoping his side can get revenge against Liverpool for 1984.

Liverpool and Roma are the outsiders in this years’ Champions League semi-final line-up, making up the last four with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Both teams have exceeded expectations to reach the last four and could end up doing battle.
Former Roma striker Francesco Graziani is hoping they draw Liverpool, eyeing ‘revenge’ for 1984.

Graziani was part of the Roma side who lost on penalties in the European Cup final to Liverpool, and he is hoping his modern day counterparts can do the business.
He told Tuttomercatoweb when asked who he wants to draw: “Liverpool, also because it seems to me that you can play against the English, and they give you a lot out of the ball.
“Yes, it would be a revenge, but I would love it as a spectator.”

Graziani also added that he is not concerned by Roma going up against unstoppable former winger Mohamed Salah, arguing they are best placed to keep him quiet.
He said: “The Egyptian is going really strong but it is also true that we know him better than the others.”
Liverpool are bidding to win their sixth European crown, while Roma have never won it. 1984 was as close as they ever came.
