Tottenham Hotspur picked up another late win on Saturday afternoon, beating Newcastle United thanks to late Son Heung-min goal.

Spurs looked like they were going to be frustrated by the Magpies, entering the final 10 minutes at 0-0 as Mauricio Pochettino’s men struggled to break Newcastle down.

However, Son popped up with yet another goal, squeezing a shot through Martin Dubravka to give Spurs all three points with an 83rd minute winner.

Even having been to the AFC Asian Cup, Son just doesn’t stop. The South Korean star now has nine goals and five assists in his last nine games for Spurs; a simply staggering record.

After picking up that narrow win late on against Newcastle, the Spurs players were given two days off by Pochettino, allowing them to recharge their batteries.

The players will have gone off to do various things, but Son has taken time out to meet up with ex-Spurs teammate Kevin Wimmer.

The pair were famously best friends at Spurs having both arrived from German clubs in 2015, and were often spotted together in training and notably picked each other out after Stoke – the club Wimmer left Spurs for in 2017 – played Tottenham at Wembley, as seen above.

Tonight, Wimmer has shared a photo on Twitter of how Son is spending his days off, with the pair reuniting as fans lapped up seeing the old ‘BFF’s’ back together one more time, with Wimmer currently playing for Hannover in the Bundesliga.
