Ryan Mason has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur defender Matt Doherty has returned to training after injury on Football London.
Doherty missed out on playing in all of Jose Mourinho’s last few matches at Tottenham.
He has now returned to training with a completely different management team in place at Spurs.
And it seems that the right-back could be back in Tottenham’s squad this evening, when they take on Southampton.
“Matt returned to the training group yesterday, Ben [Davies] I am not sure how long he has until he gets back,” he added.
“That’s all we’ve got at the moment.”
Doherty may well hope that his fortunes improve now Mourinho has left.

The Irish international has not left a note on social media following Mourinho’s departure and the Athletic has claimed that his confidence was ‘shattered’ under Tottenham’s former boss.
Doherty has endured a miserable time at Spurs so far.
But if he can find the top of his game again, he may have a chance of forcing his way into Tottenham’s team ahead of Serge Aurier.
