Harry Winks’ return is coming at a great time for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is being eased back into first-team action following his absence through injury, which is certainly positive news for supporters.
The 22-year-old is making a timely return to fitness and has been out of the picture since February, becoming a bit of a forgotten man at the North London club.
But the pass master is set to give manager Mauricio Pochettino a major boost by strengthening his options in the centre of the park.
Winks is a central midfielder that can offer great calmness with his range of passing and at times Spurs can lack that, something which occurred in the 2-1 defeat to Watford at the weekend.
He was in brilliant form at the beginning of the last campaign, as he even managed to force his way into the senior England team after a string of mature performances.
Winks could be a crucial part of Spurs’ squad this campaign if he gets back to that sort of form and he now has an international break to step up his return from injury.

He will be hoping he can force his way into the starting XI on a regular basis, with teammate Mousa Dembele perhaps the player on the decline that could drop out.
But Dembele would be enormous shoes to fill, as he’s been a rock in the Spurs midfield in recent years and the team needs an enforcer in the centre that allows the club’s attacking talents to flourish.
Winks’ comeback is definitely a positive for the manager, but Victor Wanyama may be a more natural replacement for Dembele if he wants to shake-up his midfield.
