RB Leipzig are reportedly challenging Newcastle United for Joe Bryan.

According to the Daily Star, three Bundesliga clubs – including RB Leipzig – are lining up moves to rival Newcastle United for Bristol City left back Joe Bryan.
Bryan, 24, has come up through the ranks with the Robins and starred last season, hitting five goals and three assists in 43 appearances, whilst he also hit the headlines with a superb goal against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
The left back – also capable of playing on the left of midfield – has unsurprisingly attracted major interest off the back of his displays at at Ashton Gate, with a move still possible before the transfer window slams shut next month.
The Sun reported over the weekend that Newcastle United are pursuing a £6million deal for Bryan, with manager Rafael Benitez keen to bring in another left back to challenge Paul Dummett.
Bryan fits the bill perfectly, and a £6million fee seems more than reasonable, but the Daily Star now report that Newcastle face a last-gasp battle with three Bundesliga clubs.
It’s claimed that Augsburg, Mainz and RB Leipzig are all keen to sign Bryan, and he is keen to make a move to Germany, with Leipzig believed to be his preferred destination.

Leipzig are pursuing another English talent in Ademola Lookman, whilst the likes of Reece Oxford, Jadon Sancho, Ryan Kent, Keanan Bennetts and Kaylen Hinds have all made moves from England to Germany in some capacity of late.
However, Leipzig already have Marcel Halstenberg and new signing Marcelo Saracchi at left back, and moving to sign Bryan would be a surprise – but Newcastle must move quickly to win the race for his signature.
