Tottenham have reportedly made a bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha looks dejected
According to BBC Sport (13:57), Tottenham have submitted a bid of £15m for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha – and the Daily Mail claim that he has asked to leave Selhurst Park in order to play Champions League football at White Hart Lane.
Spurs have been attempting to sign a winger all summer, and whilst Sky Sports report that a deal for Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is close, Mauricio Pochettino appears to be keen on adding even more pace to his side before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

In a shock move, BBC Sport now claim that Tottenham have lodged a bid of £15m for Crystal Palace wide man Wilfried Zaha – and they may have a strong chance of landing him.
The 23-year-old notched just two goals and one assist in the Premier League last season, but did look dangerous out wide for Alan Pardew’s men, and he appears to have caught the eye of Tottenham manager Pochettino.

The Daily Mail claim that Zaha has now told Palace manager Pardew that he wants to leave Selhurst Park, as Tottenham can offer him Champions League football, and he feels that this is an opportunity he can’t pass up.
Zaha came up through the ranks with the Eagles but left for Manchester United in 2013, but a torrid time at Old Trafford ended just a year later as he returned to Palace, initially on loan before signing a permanent deal.

Palace have already lost one winger in Yannick Bolasie following his move to Everton, and now risk losing Zaha to Tottenham as the transfer deadline closes in.
With £15m on the table from Spurs, it may be hard for Palace to stand in Zaha’s way – but after limited end product last season, Tottenham fans may well wonder just why Pochettino is so keen to land the Ivorian-born wide man, who has two caps for England.
