West Ham United are pressing ahead with their attempts to sign Javier Pastore.

According to The Express, West Ham United have agreed a £17.5million fee with Paris Saint-Germain for playmaker Javier Pastore – but The Guardian claim he must take a major pay cut.
The Hammers have appointed former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, and they will now be looking to back the Chilean with major signings.
Creative talents may well be targeted to ease the burden on Manuel Lanzini, and one of his recent Argentinian international teammates may actually join him at the London Stadium.

The Express report that West Ham have agreed a fee of £17.5million for Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore, as they attempt to push through what would be a major coup.
However, The Guardian report that Pastore must take a huge pay cut in order to facilitate a move to East London, as he currently earns a whopping £160,000-a-week with PSG.
The French champions need to offload players to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, and Pastore looks primed for the exit seven years after signing from Palermo.

The 28-year-old midfielder has hit 45 goals and 59 assists in 265 appearances for PSG, but having started just 16 games this past season, he missed out on a sport in Argentina’s World Cup squad.
West Ham and Pellegrini will be hoping to push through a deal in the coming days, but Pastore would need to take a considerable cut to even get him down the figures once paid to Dimitri Payet at West Ham, which means a deal looks difficult right now.
