According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur left back Danny Rose isn’t happy with manager Mauricio Pochettino after being excluded from the North London derby – but The Mirror claim he will return against Borussia Dortmund.

Spurs endured a difficult Saturday afternoon, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal, with Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez finding the net.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men fell flat in the North London derby, and many were left perplexed by the omission of left back Danny Rose from the matchday squad.

Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on November 5, 2017 in London, England.

Rose missed nine months of 2017 with a knee injury sustained at Sunderland back in January, but has recently returned, starting against Crystal Palace before the international break and then featuring for England against Germany just days later.

However, Rose wasn’t even in the Spurs squad against Arsenal, as he was left back at the training ground, with The Sun now claiming that Rose isn’t happy with manager Pochettino for his decision.

It’s stated that Rose felt he was 100% ready to play, and speculation continues over a possible move to Manchester United, with the 27-year-old understood to be ‘fuming’.

Intriguingly though, The Mirror report that Rose will be brought back into the side to face Borussia Dortmund in midweek, with Pochettino seemingly ready to rotate his side for the Champions League.

A return to the side may quell rumours for now, but with the January transfer window approaching, question marks still hang over Rose’s future, and this is a story that seemingly won’t end any time soon.
