According to Goal, Tottenham Hotspur are first eyeing up a replacement for Dele Alli before allowing him to head to Paris Saint-Germain.
This is backed up by Le Parisien, who claim that a deal has been agreed in principle, but Spurs want a replacement first.
PSG are still pushing to sign Alli after failing in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment as manager only intensifying their interest.
The French side want to take Alli on loan for a fee, but Spurs are not willing to include a permanent clause in the deal.
The report adds that Spurs will not sanction an agreement until they have a replacement signed up.
Tottenham are seemingly looking in the market for a signing then, when it looked like they would go through January without bringing anybody in.

Finding a number 10 this late in the window won’t be easy, but Spurs clearly don’t want to leave themselves short by letting Alli.
With the global pandemic ongoing and players liable to dropping out at short notice, losing Alli without a replacement – especially with Giovani Lo Celso out injured – would be foolish.
Spurs aren’t really being linked with many midfielders right now, and they may need to find a homegrown one if Alli is leaving.
