Sunderland have reportedly made a bid for Norwich City’s Robbie Brady.
According to the Daily Mail and The Chronicle, Sunderland have made a move to sign Norwich City star Robbie Brady during this month’s transfer window.
Brady, 24, starred with Hull City having failed to make the grade with Manchester United, and his performances earned him a 2015 move to Norwich City.

The Irishman hit three goals and two assists in the Premier League last season, and has notched three goals and three assists so far this term following Norwich’s relegation to the Championship.
Norwich are struggling right now though, and may look to cash in on Brady in order to fund other signings, with The Mirror reporting that the Canaries have dropped their asking price from £20million to £12million this month.

That has prompted interest in Brady, and both the Daily Mail and The Chronicle report that Sunderland have made a move for Brady – thought the Mail claim that their bid has been rejected.
David Moyes already has a left back at his disposal in Patrick van Aanholt, but Brady would offer Moyes a left-sided midfielder with great crossing and set piece ability, as well as potential to improve over the coming years.
However, given that Sunderland have gone into the January transfer window with a lack of funds, it seems unlikely that they will be able to meet Norwich’s alleged £12million asking price for Brady.
Whilst the value of Sunderland’s bid is unclear, fans will be encouraged by the fact that the Black Cats have even entered the race for Brady’s signature, as a number of Premier League teams are also believed to be interested – but whether Sunderland can win the race remains to be seen.
