West Ham United have been linked with a stunning move for Lazio star Felipe Anderson.

West Ham are trying to sign Lazio star Felipe Anderson to mark a new era under Manuel Pellegrini, as reported by the likes of Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old winger scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in an injury-hit season for Lazio last term during which he helped the Rome club to the Europa League quarter-finals.

The move has excited West Ham fans as Anderson has proved to be one of Lazio’s key players for a number of seasons, having signed from Santos for £6.75m in 2013.

In 177 appearances across five seasons for Lazio, Anderson has scored 34 goals and provided 42 assists.

West Ham are actively trying to do business before the World Cup begins in Russia following the arrival of Pellegrini as their new manager.

And according to The Daily Mail, the fact the Chilean is the Hammers boss puts the East Londoners in pole position to land Anderson despite interest from a host of top clubs.

The Mail reports that talks are under way with the Serie A side and the Brazilian’s representatives over a £35 million move.

And according to the report, Anderson is eager to play for Manuel Pellegrini.

With the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United showing interest in the 25-year-old that could be key to West Ham securing one of the most exciting signings of the last decade.
