The Ukrainian winger has been linked with an £18 million move to Spurs this week.
Ukraine’s Andriy Yarmolenko in action
Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a move for Ukrainian hotshot Andriy Yarmolenko last night.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are lining up a move to sign the Dynamo Kiev attacker in a deal worth £18 million.
So Spurs fans might be interested to hear that Yarmolenko’s relationship in the Ukrainian capital has been fractured in recent weeks.
Ukraine’s Andriy Yarmolenko
According to a report from Football.ua the winger refused to play in Dynamo Kiev’s league game with Stal Kamianske last weekend.
The report claims this was due to Yarmolenko being left furious with the club for reneging on an agreement to sell him.
However, the same source reports he came back into contention voluntarily for this weekend’s game with Volyn – in which he did indeed feature.

But it appears all is not well at the club and that Spurs could benefit.
Nearly a year ago Yarmolenko agreed a new contract extension with Dynamo. His contract was due to expire in 2016 and he admitted on the official Dynamo Kiev website after signing the new deal that he only did so to ensure Kiev got a fee should he depart.

It seems that Kiev now want to keep the player, with Yarmolenko believing he was essentially up for sale at the right price.
Tottenham will not be the only ones sniffing around the Ukrainian this summer, especially given his situation at Kiev.
But Spurs would be getting hold of a real star if they won a transfer battle.
