The Italian giants see the Aston Villa talent as a star for the future.

It was reported yesterday that Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is looking to bring Swiss goalie Eldin Jakupovic to Villa Park in January. The Mirror report that Bruce is looking to bring in the goalkeeper he worked with at Hull City to add some experience to the Aston Villa goalkeeping ranks.

According to Italian reports that might be the end of Pierluigi Gollini’s career in the Midlands.

Plenty of Italian sources have reported that Serie A champions Juventus will make a move for Gollini. Calcio News 24 report that the signing of Jakupovic would see Juventus make a move to sign Gollini in the winter, following up on their previous interest in the player. Juve see him as a potential long-term successor to Gianluigi Buffon in Turin and were scouting him before Villa snapped him up from Hellas Verona in the summer.

The news that Juventus, one of European football’s giants, are looking to sign the Italian goalie will likely come as a surprise to many Villa fans.

Gollini has hardly covered himself in glory since his move to Aston Villa and looks prone to mistakes I the English game.
