The Senegalese striker has been a flop at Goodison Park.

Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Oumar Niasse will be on his way out of Everton in January and heading to Istanbul to play for Galatasaray.

Niasse arrived at Everton from Lokomotiv Moscow last January in a deal reported by The Telegraph to be worth £13.5 million.

But he arrived injured and ended up playing just seven times and scoring no goals – failing to impress the Everton faithful.

New manager Ronald Koeman was clearly not a fan of the player and Niasse has not been near first-team reckoning since the Dutchman arrived.

Now, as reported by several Turkish sources including Yenicag Gazetesi, Niasse, Everton and Galatasaray have all come to an agreement over an exit in the winter.

The Turkish side were, understandably, reluctant to by him permanently after his struggles on Merseyside and the deal looks to be a loan move with a purchase option included should he impress. It is even suggested he could begin training with the Turkish club before January.

Niasse has previous experience in Turkish football, having been a regular at Akhisar Belediyespor earlier in his career.

Of course, Everton fans will treat the latest reports with a generous helping of salt. Niasse has been heavily linked with Galatasaray throughout the past few months with nothing official coming to pass.
