Nottingham Forest are reportedly considering a move for Luca Bittante.
Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are currently eyeing a swoop for Empoli right-back, Luca Bittante, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
Following months of speculation, Nottingham Forest finally decided to appoint a permanent manager at the helm of the City Ground in the form of Philippe Montanier.
Montanier has signed with Forest on a two year deal and the former Rennes boss will be expected to guide the club to promotion into the Premier League.
In order to turn Forest into genuine contenders for the upcoming campaign though, the 51-year-old manager will most certainly have to strengthen his squad this summer and the Championship outfit have moved quickly to land the services of Apostolos Vellios and Thomas Lam recently.
Following the arrival of the duo, Montanier is now looking to strengthen his squad at other departments and according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Frenchman is currently considering a move for Empoli right back Luca Bittante.
Bittante joined Empoli from Fiorentina at the start of last season but the 22-year-old struggled for regular first team football at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, being reduced to only 515 minutes of action across 16 Serie A matches.
As a result, Bittante is widely expected to be leaving Empoli this summer and reports claim that Nottingham Forest are keen on making a move for the young defender.
Forest are not the only team interested in Bittante though and the Championship side will have to fight off interest from Genoa in order to land the services of the former Avellino star.
