According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Matt Doherty.
It’s claimed that Spurs opened talks with Wolves earlier this week, and have now completed the signing of Doherty.
Football.London paint a slightly different picture, and that’s that the deal has been agreed but there is still work to do.
Doherty is returning from his holiday in Sardinia, but won’t have to quarantine thanks to a travel corridor between England and Italy.
The 28-year-old is expected back in England today, and he will then complete a medical with Spurs ahead of going on international duty with Ireland.
Doherty’s imminent arrival may now pave the way for Serge Aurier to leave the club, with Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan keen.

Spurs would be landing another proven Premier League player in Doherty, having already added Joe hart and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.
Doherty has notched eight goals and 11 assists in two Premier League seasons with Wolves, and provides Tottenham with an attacking outlet at right back – even if he will have to play a more reserved role than his wing-back role at Wolves.
