Liverpool are seemingly just a matter of hours away from completing the signing of playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai.
RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai has completed his medical ahead of signing for Liverpool.
That is according to a report from The Athletic, who claim that Liverpool are set to finalise the signing of Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian is understood to have completed his medical with the Reds and a five-year contract has been offered.
Liverpool have activated the €70million (£60million) release clause in Szoboszlai’s contract and he will sign on the dotted line at Anfield.
The report claims that Liverpool could announce the deal within the next 24 hours with the deal fully in place.
Fabrizio Romano adds that Szoboszlai has now signed his contract and has given the move his usual ‘here we go’ confirmation.
Romano claims there is no option in Szoboszlai’s deal and it will be a straightforward contract until the summer of 2028.

Dominik Szoboszlai offers Liverpool another set-piece threat
Szoboszlai is a fascinating signing in terms of figuring out how Jurgen Klopp wants to set up his midfield.
The 22-year-old has mostly played as a number 10 for RB Leipzig, occasionally featuring out wide too.
We can only imagine that Klopp sees Szoboszlai as a midfielder rather than a winger, but putting him into a midfield three could be a tad awkward.

Maybe Klopp will focus more on a 4-2-3-1 with Alexis Mac Allister sitting deep alongside Fabinho, providing the cover for Szoboszlai to go forward.
Either way, Szoboszlai – hailed as ‘special’ by former boss Jesse Marsch – certainly gives Liverpool another threat from set pieces.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is dangerous enough but we could now see him and Szoboszlai standing over set plays.
Alexander-Arnold will get priority, but Szoboszlai’s free kicks and corners have been so dangerous in the Bundesliga that he will give Liverpool even more quality.
