Championship strugglers Stoke City have sacked Nathan Jones with both Chris Hughton and David Moyes still available.

David Moyes is ‘likely’ to be interested in taking over as the new manager at Stoke City according to the Mail, with Nathan Jones being relieved of his duties on Friday.
It’s difficult not to feel just a little sympathy for Jones – unless you’re a Luton Town fan of course. It is clear to everyone that the problems at the Bet365 Stadium run far deeper than the coach and, for a while at least, it looked like Jones was set to turn things around.
Notable wins against Swansea and Fulham in successive matches gave Stoke hope of a dramatic return to form – only for consecutive defeats to Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall to plunge the Potters back to the bottom of the Championship.
But Jones has now paid with his job. And despite Stoke’s ongoing struggles, one of the most experienced managers around in Moyes will still be keen on the idea of rescuing the one-time Premier League stalwarts from their current malaise.

Moyes has been out of work since leaving West Ham in May of last year and the report believes that the former Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland manager could be tempted to return to the dugout with the Championship stragglers.
According to The Telegraph, Chris Hughton has already turned down a tentative approach from Stoke and, given that he led both Newcastle United and Brighton to promotion from the second tier, this will be seen as a blow.
